WATERCOLOR EXHIBITION 2019

Nuance Gallery is pleased to invite you to the "International Watercolor Exhibition", where you will have the opportunity to see the works of 16 world-renowned watercolor artists.

The invited artists are from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Spain, China, Moldova, Russia, USA, Taiwan and Sweden. They will present two of their works. They are members of various international watercolor organizations (American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Royal Watercolor Society, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolors) and regularly participate in international festivals and exhibitions.

Watercolor is a technique that allows no mistakes. It contains the contradiction between clear precision and ease of movement, made without strenuous effort. The soft abstraction achieved by one artist can easily turn into a sharp, realistic image under the brush of another. One of the first visual techniques known to mankind, watercolor is not only practiced, but also continues to develop to this day. Between September 11th and 29th, you will have the pleasure to see an exhibition that captures a wide range of techniques and subjects, and through them presents to the Bulgarian audience some of the most established and interesting artists working in the field of watercolor art.

Each of the 16 participants in the exhibition shares their own world, on the one hand through his subjects, and on the other, through his own personal technical impulse, mastered and developed to perfection. Some of the authors invite the viewer into dreamy and abstract worlds constructed by their own imagination. Others immortalize still lifes with hyper-realistic accuracy, while others talk about the lifestyle and culture of their own people. No matter how different the work of the authors is, each image is born of contemplation and wholehearted admiration for the world around us and the one in our minds. Modernity rarely leaves us with the opportunity to look around and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us, hidden behind the screen of everyday life. This personal, secretive process of seeing and perceiving our world is a source of pleasure and a mechanism for making sense of our existence. Within the exhibition you will experience the experiences of the authors, created by a conscious search for the beautiful and the elegant, where it is not always expected to be discovered.

At the opening of the exhibition, the curator Evgenia Matsureva will conduct a tour in the gallery, where he will tell about each exhibited author and his paintings. Eugene, as the co-founder of the Art-Holidays creative group, personally works with world watercolor masters, organizing their master classes and exhibitions in Russia, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy. Knowing closely their stories and their development as artists, she will make an interesting and different presentation.

Nuance Gallery will present a limited number of catalogs for the exhibition that you will be able to purchase. You will also be able to get autographs from some of the artists who will attend the opening in person.
