"The Past a User's Manual" an exhibition of the finalists of the Young Artists Competition at the Nuance Gallery February 26 - March 15, 2020 opening and awarding: February 26, 6:30 pm

Nuance Gallery opened its doors 6 years ago. Among the numerous exhibitions, for the third time, an initiative is being held, extremely emotional for the gallery - the competition for young Bulgarian artists. The mission of each edition is to present and support the development of young people in the visual arts. The latest edition featured 140 authors, with twenty-three finalists being selected with difficulty. From February 26 to March 15, you will have the opportunity to see the exhibition, which will feature all twenty-three works, and the opening will be the award of the distinguished authors in the first, second and third place respectively.

In the third competition, the artists worked provoked by the title “The Past a User's Manual”. Our time is inevitably burdened by previous events, and in order to fully grasp what is happening around us, we must always look back. This is the direction of the current edition of the competition. All works in selection, through abstract or literal techniques, treat the title theme, find answers and ask questions about the use and influence of the past in the present and the future. The works trace the role of personal and global history as an invited and uninvited substitute in our actions, preferences and perceptions.

The exhibition presents the works of selected young and established artists, their various styles, techniques and searches.
